Pet & Dog First Aid Training Course
I am Tracey Redfurn, owner of Puppeez & Newbeez, and I am proud to offer certified, licensed, and insured first aid training specifically designed for pet and dog owners, as well as professionals like groomers, dog walkers, pet sitters, and anyone working with animals. This course equips you with the essential skills and confidence to manage a variety of emergency situations that may arise with your pets.
Unlike online pet first aid courses, my training is hands-on and highly practical, ensuring that you fully understand and can confidently administer key first aid techniques, including CPR. The course requires group participation, so you’ll have the opportunity to practice and refine your skills in real-time, supported by expert guidance.
The course covers crucial first aid techniques, including:
- How to assess your pet’s condition in an emergency
- Performing CPR on dogs and cats
- Handling choking, burns, fractures, and heatstroke
- Recognising signs of illness, pain, or distress in pets
- Basic wound care, including bandaging and managing bleeding
- Safely transporting an injured or unwell animal
What’s included:
- Practical, hands-on training using simulation dogs for CPR, bandaging, and dealing with scenarios like choking, poisoning, snake bites, seizures, hypothermia, and hyperthermia.
- Classroom training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of pet first aid principles.
- Each candidate will receive a manual and handouts for reference after the course.
- Light refreshments will be provided during the session.
- On-site parking is available for your convenience.
- You will receive a certified & recognised level 2 canine certificate on completion.
